Hi everyone,
I still have a ways to go on that second batch of slides from contributor Cliff West. The subjects will be EMD GP's for a while. While I do not exactly have a before and after pair for a specific unit, photos of GP7's such as 1507:1 before being rebuilt to GP10's such as 1426 are quite a treat. Since these GP7's were rebuilt in the 70's there were only a few years to photograph them before they became GP10's. It definitely makes sense that most of the GP10's were ex-GN of the long hood forward variety, rebuilt with chopped noses and short hood forward operation. Enjoy, Charles |
