Hi everyone, Here are ten more SD70MAC's for your viewing pleasure. I am posting out of the usual roster number order for the to show some lashup shots with accompanying roster shots of the units making up the lashup. All these shots were from Spring Break 1997, when SD70MACs seemed to be all over the place. I finally figured out where many of them are going, but since they don't go past Tower 55 much anymore, I have to catch them in Saginaw. Today's lashup is 9611/9545/9413, with rosters of each unit also posted. I also have two "almost" lashups, coincedentally, the same train going south with a load on March 20, and north empty on March 21. I don't have a shot of the entire lashup scanned (I do have one, but it was on another roll which I didn't get before I sent off this CD). This was an unusual train, as it's the only time I have seen four SD70MAC's on the point of a train. What puzzled me for a while, was what happened to the lead unit shots for this train. After a good 15 minutes of head scratching, it dawned on me that it was a BNSF unit, SD70MAC #9719, which I have already posted to the BNSF Photo Archive. There are shots of it posted from both days as well. |
