Hi everyone, Today we have a variety of six axle power to wrap up this batch of slides from Curt Jans. There are three C30-7's, one C33-7, and one of those rare SDP40's. As if a SDP40 is not rare enough, SDP40 #6399 is the only one that was painted in the whiteface scheme. Speaking of whitefaces, C30-7 #5599 is a nice example of this class in this paint scheme. I have three views of it all in this paint. For those of you interested in BN locomotive lighting, note that over time this unit saw its share of modifications, sporting three different looks while in whiteface paint. Note that in 1990 the rotary beacon was present. By 1994 the beacon was removed, and by 1999 ditch lights were added. Changes in lighting were driven by the repeal of laws requiring beacons and new laws requiring ditch lights on units for grade crossing safety. Enjoy, Charles |
