Hi everyone, Today I am posting ten images from new contributor Al Seever. All ten are from Northtown Yard in Minneapolis, MN which Al visits quite frequently. Five of today's ten shots make up an interesting action sequence - SD40-2 #6833 getting spun on the turntable. It looks especially neat when viewed on the thumbnail slideshow page. Two other subjects are rather interesting too - Al sent two shots of BN's one and only SW10B #442. The unit was rebuilt without a cab after wreck damage in the mid 1980's. Also particularly interesting is GP20C #2009. This is a GP20 rebuilt with a Caterpillar prime mover. The model evidently was not very sucessful, as they only survived on the BN for 4 years before being returned to their lessor. Some of the surviving GP20C's are currently in service on the Twin Cities & Western. |
