This really does wrap up the first batch from Cliff West. While wreck photos aren't exactly how I like to remember the BN, I went ahead and used the photo of C425 #4265 showing why it left the BN in 1974, whereas most others lasted until 1980. I almost forgot that for this first batch, I saved what I thought was the best for last. Perhaps that wasn't a good idea since when I set my mind to working on two passenger car photos, what would normally be a simple task became quite the adventure. If not for my 1972 BN Annual, I'd have been completely lost trying to come up with historical data on the cars. Then of course there is the simple fascination over seeing a full length BN dome in cascade green! Eventually I came to realize that the number on the car is Amtrak's, not BN's, but hope you enjoy this photo of AMTK 9365 as much as I do. Enjoy, Charles |
