Hi everyone,
Today we have some more modern EMD power, with a mix of SD40's and a lone SD45 from contributor Rick Briney. These former C&S SD40's are a series that never fails to confuse me. Back when these C&S units wore 800 series numbers, the low 6300's were occupied by some BN SD40's and some BN SD40-2's. While I am quite adept at telling SD40's from SD40-2's when they share the same numbers like this I can't help but do a double take. It does not help that these SD40's do not sport any visible C&S sublettering even though given the dates they are still technically C&S units. Enjoy, Charles |
