Hi everyone, Yes, I am still keeping up with this site. Don't worry. The other two sites and a few other little problems have kept me away from things lately, but I'm back to posting that good old BN stuff again. I did my usual first-active-day-of-the-month (not even anywhere close to the the 1st, this time) update of the motive power indexes. and I'm back to posting images from new contributor, Bill Weibel. Today's images are EMD SD45's and F45's. I'm now on the last CD of 40 images from the collection of nearly 400 BN slides Bill sent for me to pick through (280 of which I scanned). I've definietely taken some time posting them, and don't think I'll make any more claims about when I'll be done, as I've already gone over a couple months now. Oh, I guess I should mention that today's images are the first I have converted from PhotoCD with Photoshop 4.0. The file sizes seem to be much larger than with 3.0, but this is what I get when I set quality to maximum, and I will not slide that quality bar down, so please don't bombard me with complaints over the large file sizes. I can only guess that all those JPEGs I made with 3.0 are not really 100% quality lossless compression. Bummer. I may have to crack the manuals on that one.... |
