Message of the day - August 31, 2006:

Hi everyone,

Well, I decided to slip in a few of my own photos. I've been spending a lot of time reviewing my digital collection, converting RAW to TIFF, entering ITPC data, and archiving to CD. Chad Hewitt would be proud, though I think he is like most people in this world and is content with JPG vs. TIFF.

If you used to shoot slides but converted to digital and were in the habit of labelling all of your slides, but have not figured out how to do the same for your digitals, search the web and learn about ITPC data. Just as labelling slides is time consuming, so is entering ITPC data though you may be able to automate much of the work if you are into programming, scripting, and/or batch file processing.

Anyway, here's a few samples, all from 2003. Four of the five are from my second trip to Alta Mont. None of these were taken in Montana, three are from the way there and one is from the way back to Texas via Minnesota. I may be asking for a razzing by posting all these rosters from an Alta Mont trip where action is the name of the game. We'll see. The subject remains SD70MAC's, as they are among the few BN locomotives that can still be found unpatched.

Enjoy,
Charles
