Message of the day - April 8, 1997:

Hi everyone,

Today we can all thank Robert Dobrowolski for getting me started on a page for the Fort Worth and Denver Railway. Most of todays images are from another of Robert's successful days of railfanning in back in 1978, this time in Ft. Worth, Texas.

I am experimenting with a some new page layout ideas on the Fort Worth and Denver pages. The major change is that I am providing historical info on the general model pages (for an example, see the FW&D SD7 INDEX). instead of on each units page. This will make the site easier for me to maintain, and provide more historical information at the same time, as this info will be available for all units, not just those I have pictures of. I am also making thumbnail pages that include thumbnails of every image (for an example, see the FW&D Caboose thumbnail page).

I would love to hear any comments you have about these new layout ideas, as I may spend the better part of many evenings to come changing the BN Archive to such a format. It will be interesting to see how this layout works for models that BN had hundreds of, such as the EMD SD40-2. Once I am over that hurdle, the rest should be relatively simple in comparison. If you have some comments to share, please mail me, Charles Biel, at cbiel@sbcglobal.net. Oh, and I do plan to do the numbers "right" this time (601:1, 601:2, (601) etc. where applicable).

This web page is made from 100% recycled electrons.
